🌟 December 22nd Devotion: “The Nearness of Glory”

Scripture:
“And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.” — Isaiah 40:5 (KJV)

Reflection:
As the days draw closer to Christmas, we feel the hush of expectancy settle over our hearts. The world may still be noisy, but heaven is whispering: Glory is near.
This verse from Isaiah reminds us that God’s promises are not hidden—they are meant to be seen, shared, and fulfilled in plain sight. The glory of the Lord isn’t reserved for the perfect or the powerful. It’s for all flesh—for the weary, the hopeful, the grieving, the rejoicing. For you.

Today, let the nearness of His glory comfort you. You don’t have to chase it or earn it. You simply receive it. Whether you’re lighting candles, wrapping gifts, or sitting in quiet reflection, know this: the mouth of the Lord has spoken, and His Word is faithful.

Prayer:
Lord, as Christmas draws near, help me rest in the promise of Your revealed glory. Let my heart be still and expectant. Thank You for making Your presence known—not just in Bethlehem, but in my everyday life. Amen.
