🎄 December 7th Devotional: Keeping Your Focus on Jesus During Christmas

It’s easy to get swept up in the season — the lights, the lists, the gatherings, the gifts. But beneath the sparkle and the schedule is a deeper invitation: to center our hearts on Jesus.

Christmas isn’t just a celebration. It’s a reminder. A moment to pause and remember that the Savior came near — not to impress, but to redeem. Not to overwhelm, but to dwell.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” — Isaiah 26:3

Here are a few gentle ways to keep your focus on Jesus this Christmas:

✨ Start Your Day with Scripture
Even one verse can anchor your heart. Let His Word be the first gift you unwrap each morning.

✨ Create a Quiet Corner
Set aside a small space — a chair, a candle, a journal — where you can meet with Him. No pressure. Just presence.

✨ Give with Intention
Let your gifts reflect His love. Whether it’s a handmade card, a prayerful note, or a simple act of kindness — give in a way that honors Him.

✨ Say His Name Often
In your prayers, your songs, your conversations — speak the name of Jesus. Let it be the thread that runs through your day.

✨ Remember the Why
When the pace picks up, pause and whisper: “Jesus, You are the reason I celebrate.” That simple reminder can reset everything.

This season, you don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be present. And Jesus will meet you there.

A Prayer to Stay Centered on Jesus

Jesus,
In the midst of the noise and the beauty,
help me keep my eyes on You.
Let Your peace steady my heart.
Let Your love guide my steps.
Let Your presence be my priority.

When I feel distracted, draw me back.
When I feel overwhelmed, quiet me with Your Word.
When I feel tired, remind me that You came close —
not to demand, but to dwell.

You are the gift.
You are the center.
You are the reason.

And I choose to celebrate You.

Amen.
