🎄 December 8th Devotional: Making Room
In the busyness of December, it’s easy to fill every moment — with tasks, traditions, and expectations. But the story of Christmas begins with space. With a manger. With a heart that made room.
“There was no room for them in the inn.” — Luke 2:7
Jesus didn’t arrive in a palace. He came where there was space — even if it was humble, even if it was unexpected. And He still comes that way today.
✨ Make Room in Your Schedule
Even five quiet minutes can become a meeting place with God. Don’t wait for perfect silence — just offer what you have.
✨ Make Room in Your Heart
Let go of what’s crowding your peace. Release the pressure to perform. Invite Jesus into the real, not the polished.
✨ Make Room in Your Story
This season may not look like others. That’s okay. God writes beauty into every chapter — even the ones that feel unfinished.
You don’t have to do it all. You just have to make room. And Jesus will fill it with peace, presence, and grace.

A Prayer to Make Room
Jesus,
Help me make room for You —
in my day, in my heart, in my home.
Clear out the clutter of worry and hurry.
Quiet the noise that keeps me from hearing Your voice.
I don’t need everything to be perfect.
I just need to be present.
And I welcome You here —
in the ordinary, in the quiet, in the space I’ve set apart.
You are the gift.
And I make room for You.
Amen.
