“A Place at the Table”
🍞 A Place at the Table
By Jennifer Garduno RemarkableFaith.net
There’s something sacred about a table. It’s where stories are shared, laughter echoes, and hearts are nourished. But long before we set our plates or pour the coffee, God prepared a table for us—a place of belonging, restoration, and grace.
In Luke 22, Jesus sits with His disciples for the Last Supper. He breaks bread, pours wine, and speaks of a new covenant. It’s not just a meal—it’s a moment of reconciliation.
“This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” — Luke 22:19
Through Jesus, God invites us to the table—not as strangers, but as beloved children.
“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
This table isn’t reserved for the perfect. It’s for the weary, the broken, the hopeful. It’s where grace is served in abundance and mercy never runs out.
🪑 How to Embrace Your Place at God’s Table
- Come as you are. You don’t have to earn your seat—Jesus already made room.
- Receive the invitation. God’s love is personal. He calls you by name.
- Extend the table. Invite others into the grace you’ve received. Hospitality is holy.
“You prepare a table before me… my cup overflows.” — Psalm 23:5
🙏 Prayer of Salvation: Accepting Your Seat at the Table
If you feel God tugging on your heart today, know this: He’s already set a place for you. You can receive His invitation right now with a simple prayer of surrender and faith.
“Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sins and rose again so I could be forgiven and have eternal life. I accept Your invitation to sit at Your table. Come into my heart, be my Savior, and lead me in Your truth. I receive Your grace, and I choose to follow You. Thank You for loving me. Amen.”
